ACCESS SHOULD NEVER LIMIT THE VISION.
Founded by Elaine Hughes, IWC brings lived experience, accessibility expertise and a design-led perspective to an industry where access is still too often considered after the decisions have already been made.
We work across the wedding experience, with couples, venues and wedding professionals, helping to create celebrations where accessibility is considered from the beginning and beautiful design, atmosphere and ambition remain firmly intact.
The Inclusive Wedding Company exists to make extraordinary weddings possible without asking disabled and neurodivergent people to compromise.
I wanted to share a little about why you've landed here today.
I love weddings. I love the beauty, the details, the anticipation and all those moments that turn one day into something people remember for years.
What I don't love is how often accessibility is still treated as an afterthought.
I'm a Black disabled woman, so I don't experience accessibility as a theory or a checklist. I know what it feels like when a beautiful experience hasn't been designed with you in mind. And I know that accessibility can be so much more than whether someone can simply get through the door.
That's why I created The Inclusive Wedding Company.
I want couples to be able to imagine the wedding they actually want, without access needs shrinking the vision. And I want wedding professionals to feel confident creating experiences where disabled and neurodivergent people aren't simply accommodated, but considered from the very beginning.
For me, accessibility and beautiful design have never belonged on opposite sides of the room. The best weddings make people feel something. They make people feel welcomed, thought about and part of the celebration.
That's what I want IWC to help create.
